We'll get to know you
In order to determine if structural healthcare is right for you and make a proper diagnosis the doctor needs to take a detailed history. Dr. Elizabeth not only asks you about your current pain and injuries but also about past injuries, car accidents, surgeries, illnesses, and other health concerns.
We'll do a physical exam
Chiropractors are considered portal of entry providers. What does that mean? In addition to having your back (pun intended), we are also responsible for performing a general health screen and making a referral if necessary. This includes taking blood pressure and may include listening to heart and lung sounds.
We'll do an orthopedic exam
A series of simple exams that give the doctor information about the health of your joints, muscles, and nerves.
We'll provide an explanation
Dr. Elizabeth will explain what’s going on in your body to cause the pain and how she proposes to treat it. Questions are welcome at anytime, but now is an especially good time. The doctor wants you to be comfortable and confident with the care you receive. Please don’t hesitate to ask questions!
Then…
We treat you
Get ready to get out of pain, stand up straighter, and breathe better! Dr. Elizabeth will take it from here. She will adjust
you and give you the information you need to prevent
future episodes of pain.
OR
Additional testing
The majority of patients can be adjusted during the first visit. However, after more serious falls and accidents, it’s sometimes necessary to get a better look at what’s going on inside your body. In these cases the doctor may send you to get an x-ray or MRI in order to check for fracture or ligament damage.
